I have a 74 H2 750 that has very crappy painted items: frame, swing arm battery box, headlight bucked, brake caliper, triple trees etc. that I need to paint. I have searched the site and I see suggestions of powder coating, paint mixed with a flatting agent etc. My question is what was the original paint finish like Gloss, Satin, Low Sheen, matt. and are all the items painted black the same finish

That chart is accurate, but there is a lot more plastic and different finishes on a '74 H2-B. The frames were painted in a non-2-pack basic enamel, which was gloss, I did my frame in 2-pack gloss black. I wouldn't do a frame in powder coat, due to earthing issues. I'd paint black steel parts in 2-pack and probably a good quality matte/semi-gloss spray-can for everything else.
