It seems that all of the aftermarket expansion chambers I've seen require you to remove your center stand. I like stock pipes but I wouldn't mind putting a nice set of chambers on. I'm not looking to race, just sunny day riding.

Is there a reasonable chamber that works with your center stand? Or do I have to learn TIG welding and make my own?

There have been a few chamber sets that work with the center stand, but the problem is that if you make the center chamber clear the stand, it shoves it to the right pretty far, and then the right chamber sticks way out and creates a clearance problem in turns. At least that's my take on it from making Denco clones for quite a while.

One guy around here modified his center stand so it cleared the center chamber. That was a nice solution.

Thanks for the reply. I may look into the center stand mod when it's time, but I'll also be looking for chamber options too.

You can put clearance dents on an expansion chamber, to fit a centre stand, without effecting the tune to any degree, (up to a point!). I took a mallet and a block of wood to the inside of a brand new set of Chromed J&R's with no issues or regrets, many, many years ago!!..... *caution.....your experience may differ*
