Believe it or not, it took me this long to find Hector's number and call him to see what the business's name was.

congratulations, spectacular work! a question, what did you use, or how did you manage to revive the black of plastics, such as the panel of indicator lights and even the fuse holder?

The idiot light panel is made of metal and has a strange epoxy-like finish that is hard to remove without wrecking the profile of the piece. After I get them ready to finish I use an epoxy paint that is baked at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, after that it's pretty much impervious to chemicals. Most of the shiny plastic gets sanded and polished and I have other methods for the other plastic finishes that took a lot of experimenting to get right so I hate to be that way but I won't tell. ;)
