Hello everyone, I started the restoration of the blue of 1972; preliminary work to reinforce the steering shock absorber hooking given the various posts where they told unpleasant stories of sudden breakage. I also modified the bushings of the center stand because the eyelets were worn out. Powder coating in glossy black. Engine with heads by Ralf Schipmann, the originals in perfect condition are available. New regulator by Jim Hobbs. Work in progress.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

What we used to do on the F5R (H1R frame), H1R and H2R chassis to strengthen the dampener mount is exactly what you have done, box it in on both top and bottom faces. Still, there is a need to constantly check the mount if you use a tight setting on the dampener.

Nice work, sir.

I have heard that in Italy someone has replicated them, there are those who say they are very beautiful, and there are those who say that you can see that they are not original. what is certain is that they are very expensive, but even here the opinions are conflicting, some say 600 euros, and some say 800 euros. I do not know!

I cut my rear guard short in '72, and painted it black, haven't missed it since!! (I'm in Australia, where the H2 came with a long guard.)
