Yeah, those are great tires. They grip really well and don't wear out overly fast. I have them on the DT100, as you probably remember. They worked well on my Moto Guzzi too.

Will a 120/90-18 fit onto a stock rim, and into a stock rear without rubbing? Or would I be better off with the 110/90-18

Big fan of the Road Riders myself. They are confidence inspiring...

How do the BT-46's stack up to the Bridgestone S11 Spitfire or the Shinko 712's?
Also Will a 120 fit comfortably in my stock frame or should I go with a 110? How will the handling differ between the two tie sizes?

Edit
I think I know the sizes that I will install.
Front 100/90-19
Rear 110/90-18
Question is Brand and type. I am restoring this bike and I have no idea how much I will drive it. I think maybe a couple hundred KM a year.
I'm looking at the following priced in Canada.
Shinko 712 Series ~$180 set
Bridgestone Spitfire S11 ~$240 set
Bridgestone BT-46 ~$320 set
Bridgestone BT-45 ~$240 set
All CAN$
Any thoughts?

After reading this, I decided to order the Shinko's.

I really don't recommend ever buying cheap tires, but is some cases where the bike will be ridden lightly, then they should be fine.

I totally agree Moo.

And I will use the $50 difference to buy 1 new "500" emblem.

Next question.
Now I have the Shinkos, front one is mounted and balanced, what tire pressure should I run in them. I'm thinking tire technology has changed in the last 45 years and maybe 45 year old specs might not apply to new tire construction????
