 Post subject: Foot peg rubbers

May have been said b4 but I am trying to restore a 74 500.

Is there a way to put the new rubbers on?-go on with the jokes!

The pegs are not round and have a big end cap on them. :?:

H2B are the same, I recall using a lot of force and some silicone grease to push them past the raised key.

Yeah, brute force and some lube are about the only plan I know of too.

There is really no sense in trying to put rubbers on. Get a repro set from Z1 parts or somewhere and your done. The only real difference is the reproduction rests have three little holes in the end like a bowling ball and the oem ones had a single hole.
