Hi, new on here and currently restoring my H1B. Can anyone help with the paint finish to the master cylinder ie satin, gloss etc.

Welcome Cal, I think the factory black anodised them, (somehow!) so a "matte" finish, but they turned a strange dark purple colour with exposure and time. So paint it black, not shiny, but not dead flat! :think:

I use a product called "dura bake", it's the perfect sheen and is impervious to chemicals after it's baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
