Been looking around the forum and noticed quite a few posts of chambers that crack because of solid mounting. Mine are brand new stainless steel "Higgsomething" 1974 H1E. Cost a bit, so want them to last. My thought is to put poly or rubber bushings on the mounting points (foot rest flanges). Need the sizes, but are readily available from suspension bushing suppliers (even metric). Has anyone tried this? If so, does it work with stock 60 mm foot pegs. Can't load any part number÷%part number!" pictures. |

my way is to use H2B/C rubber with cutting the rear triangular at the and welding a tube which is the size of H2B/C rubber. |

My method, a sandwich mount, machine a bushing to go through the frame tube, screw it in that. These are very soft and compliant. |

The earlier Yamaha TZ racers use a fairly low cost "Lord" type mount for their pipes, That is what I use. |
