Does anyone have an idea what is going on here with the position of the center stand when extended into the down position?

It is missing the lower center support bar by a million miles when in the correct vertical position.

The only thing I can figure out is that the position of the tabs that hold the center stand pin are not in the correct position, not sure why.

It is the correct center stand for a H2C.

Any opinions are welcome.

Dale thanks for the picture of the two center stands.

I am almost 100 percent sure it's a H2C center stand, or say 99 percent?

Wouldn't that mean you have an H2/H2A frame? What's the frame serial number?

The serial number is H2F 45744

Now I have to take a closer look at it, because it could have been filled and then re-stamped?

But the title has the above serial number.

So you are thinking this might be a H2 or a H2A frame?

The serial number is for a 1975 H2: http://www.kawatriple.com/serialno.html

I assume you checked the number on the head tube of the frame and not just the title. A photo of the rear peg mounts will also verify this, since the '75 H2 has two bosses on each side, one for the peg and one for the exhaust mount.

It has two bosses to attached the exhaust and yes I know the number is stamped on the Head Tube along with the label/sticker. They match the title.

RB............I didn't build this bike and thanks for pointing that out.

That is one of the least problems I've had with this bike which I purchased from a, cough, cough, respected Forum member who completely misrepresented this H2C.

Any ideas on what is going on here?

This really has me stumped on why the center stand is so far off.
