I finished the 1976 KH250. As always there is a couple of details left to correct but I think it turned out nice. It runs great. My camera card quit so I don't have the before pictures.

Looking good  You have to hold the record on here for most restored bikes in a lifetime.

Thanks fellas. I think RB would be the record holder, this is only number 13 in the last 3 years.

That looks fantastic! The only thing I would call out is the clutch cover with the later Kawasaki logo, which was only on the 79 & 80 models (Europe & Japan). The only reason I mention it is that I want one for my S1-C that I'm painting as a 79 KH250-B4, so I will need the clutch cover and stator cover with the later logo. So I will gladly send you a correct clutch cover in trade for that horribly embarrassing WRONG part, just so nobody picks on you for getting mixed up and not even having the same on both sides... :silent:

all in good fun, it's a superb job!

I ordered the cover last October and didn't realize it didn't fit till a week ago so I couldn't send it back. It's a nos cover so I thought for once I could just put it on and be done, wrong again. I discovered that the kick start shaft hole was smaller and so was the outer space for the oil seal. The hole that the oil pump fits in is also smaller as was the hole for the tach drive shaft(the bottom hole). I made three trips out to my machinist friend before I had it completely figured out. The reason I went through the trouble to make it work was because it cost $325, I can't send it back, I thought(wrongly)that the KH250 had the newer logo, it's modified to work and I think it looks okay on the bike. So you see I can't trade you for it because it's milled to the old cover specs, or I would. Actually I believe this might have been a European bike because it had the horrible shiny back fender on it which I was more than happy to leave off.
