The S2 and the H1 bars are absolutely NOT the same - VERY different, the early and the later H1 bars are all technically the same other than the spacing for the knurling. Obviously there are 3 types of H1 bar :

U.S. - all bikes the same (bar the knurling)

Euro, low flat bars and also a "half high" bar

Just purchased and H1-C in need of a full restoration which it shall receive. The handlebars seem odd/narrow and I'm thinking they're not original even though they look similar to the later H1 bars (U.S. market) I'm familiar with. Looking in my various manuals I find the same part number (46003-017) for all H1's and the KH. Is that correct? They all had exactly the same handlebars without variation? I ran into this issue with an S2 and S2-A finding two different handlebars and part numbers. It appears that the bars changed to accommodate the addition of the master cylinder on the S2-A. Have NOS bars for both of those bikes. I guess this is what makes me skeptical about the H1 bars but then I have never restored an early bike (69-72). Looking to learn something new! Thanks guys...

PS: Another triple fan tells me the S2-A bars and the H1 bars are the same even though sporting different part numbers. I can't see a difference going bike to bike and they measure the same width....???

This post is worthless without pictures
Good luck with the rebuild!
