You guys think good deal ?
After searching for parts I figured out every $$ expensive $$ part on the bike is toast and needs replaced to be presentable. Absolutley no ! way restoration with replacement engine
1. both fork ears bent cracked
2. seat pan toast, foam and cover is good
3. front mud guard has road rash
4. brake pedal chrome is gone and road rash
5. wire harness hacked up
6. oil pump cover has crack and road rash
7. Pipes although solid and no road rash or dents , deep pitting rust all over..
8. wheels rust !
9. al hardware rustly
10. every thing typical junk !
Do the math, this is going to be a money pit !!!!!! to get on the road and make it eyeball friendly, presentable without spending a fortune I will be belly up

So I made a few call and found a another H2B for a doner parts bike

Interesting .....
You got a deal any one here would love to find a deal like that.
I'm thinking the H2's got about 5 more years before the prices start to go down, but who knows?!?

I keep telling myself, when I drag em home to sell and make the money, whether it be $100 or $5k. But no, I have to tinker make em run, try to make them correct etc. It keeps me home in the shed out of trouble. It's my hobby

If ya like the bike its a good deal, My H1E is similar condition covered in a flakey crusty corrosion, to do a resto like I originally planned would be a fortune and I'd be like you mention belly up , change of plan save the wallet , its going to be a runner not a resto , a supreme running machine with all the tell tale signs on age, nothing wrong with that :D

If you're into the bike, don't be too discouraged. There's a few parts of your deal I can relate to. There are deals to be had if you are patient. I bought a 74 basket case in buckets, missing about 30% of it (lost in the move he said) and turned a torn down rusted heap from this......

Into this.....

Cost me $4500 total to do it, short the reed conversion costs and the cost of the bike itself. New exhaust, crank, couple transmission gears and forks, new top end, wheels, tires, paint, body parts, ect. Took me around 4 years to gather her all up and refurb what I could but now it's done, I'm glad I did. It's a fun scoot and draws attention. The reed cost was extra but hey, might as well eh?

The head has been fixed since this photo was taken.

I am not discouraged at all. Matter o fact the bike is coming along nicely and running good. I had a little too much wine the other night and put the front wheel against the work bench and proceeded to melt the rear tire !!! it was late 10 p.m. or so, smoked out the garage , I'm sure my neighbors were thrilled
The second bike I bought ( parts bike) had beautiful clocks and hand switches good fork ears, pipes, perfect seat , tool kit owners manual, brake pedal etc. I'm scavenging everything and making one good ratty h2.

I'm sorting out all the lights, indicators etc however the horn is giving me trouble. Sorry for bad photo but anyone know what the extra wires in the headlight bucket are for. There is an extra ground, a brown w/ white stripe and a solid brown
