Lacking specific model info, in general, any point where a wire or ground lug is attached to the frame. On some models the coil mounting lugs serve as coil ground.

Ignition coil mounting lug surface, engine mounting surfaces (as JA mentioned), CDI black wire attaching surface, battery (-) frame surface, not excluding those mentioned above.

Harbor freight has a tool especially for that for just a few bucks. Will be going down to get one shortly.
H2C needs coil attachments done too? should imagine only one hole per coil needs preparing....

Having just powder coated my frame (and now with an interesting issue as mentioned in a thread with Cody) I DID all the frame points where electrical connections are - coils etc. The one thing I did not do is the Motor mounts - and I want to strap that and see if it makes a difference on the strange issue.

Was talking to the powder coater today, I mention the issue about ground wires to frame where the frame has been coated. He said you may not need to scrape off the paint because if using screws then the frames female threads were protected from coating, is bare and should ground the screw with the wire. I will be cleaning out the threads on the frame will good and see if that really does work before scraping the powder coat.
