Washed and Waxed, added a few nuts and bolts, replaced the missing kicker, a motor rebuild, and she's ready to fly! I did what was suggested and kept everything as original as possible. No paint was used and after removing 30 years of dirt film from on the tank and seat they almost look brand new. I'm still trying to dial in the carbs it kind of bogs at first but kicks in shortly after. First time riding a 500 and it's a blast.

It's amazing what a little tedious work will do, that looks great! What do you think of the power compared to your H2? I was always disappointed in how they ran when I rode them, but I cut my teeth on an H2A.

The mirror was on the bike when I bought it and wasn't sure if that's how this model came equipped. Did 69-70 H1's come with a mirror? If this is not correct it will be removed by 5pm tonight

What is the history of those tyres, they look like originals? Wouldn't do too much peg scraping if they are the shoes it wore in '70.......!

Looks great Rodney. Where was the last picture in the snow taken? I know it doesn't snow in Riverside. Hope to see you next Sunday
at Hansen's Dam 2-stroke show.

The picture in the snow was taken by the guy selling this H1 on ebay a few months ago. It was such a nice survivor and in the color I was looking for so I grabbed it. Vin# showing as one of the first 20? or so 70 H1's made. Has stock Bridge Port cylinders and window carbs. Had been in a garage for over 30 years. Ebay item No. 252284309776
