Put a set of Jim's Denco's on my custom H1.

Did my first "H" wheelie. Had a set of Wirges pipes on it before.

No comparison. still have some jetting work to do. Its a little blubbery in mid range

You might try raising the needle clips one notch and see how it feels. Just keep your ears open for signs of detonation.

Yeah, I went through this with the wirges pipes. could not clean up mid range.
the bike is a lot crisper on bottom end and top end than the wirges.
Im going to pull the carbs and take a look at the jet needles and the tubes.
maybe worn out. I can try the carbs off of my 73. I have 105 main jets in it
right now and the plugs look just a tad on the safe side. its only about 60 degrees today
so I think I will wait for a warmer day.

I bought it last summer, it came with a 3 in to one pipe.
it looked cool and sounded cool but no power after 7 k.
tried a set of wirges pipes and then decided to get the
Denco's

I put an ad on Craig's list about a month ago looking
for more triples and posted a pic of this bike as an
example and got a call from the guy that did the
custom resto on it back in 96.

it was pretty cool to get some of the history on the
bike. Said he sent the crank out to someone in California
for a complete rebuild.
