Kawasaki didn't even prime the pump or lines. start her up , hold the pump cam full on and watch the oil bump through the lines.

Need your help on this one Ja-Moo:

I let out the air at the inlet tube banjo, and did as you recommended: Started the bike, and watched the red oil bump through the lines. But can the pump overcome any air trapped en the 3 pipes leading to the mains ???
See picture below, where I have marked one of lines

I will be difficult to let the air out of these pipes as the banjos are tucked away under the carbs.

Bike sounded terrific :D :D I'm hoping to upload a short video later...

Are you holding the cam full open? The pump is positive displacement, so the oil should jump a bit each pulse until the line is filled.

Yes Sir - ran it for like 3-5 mins. and held cam fully open. Could easily see the pulses of oil entering into all 3 pipes.
Pipes were already mounted when I picked it up at the engine shop, and I haven't touched them.
Running on pre-mix right now, so not afraid of repeating, just not sure if pump can overcome air in the vertical parts of pipe ?

I haven't been following this topic, but that bike is fantastic, super nice redo, top notch work.

Outside possibility, end cap O ring not sealing, and/or, early, pre-service bulletin changeover end cap. Resources site should have the bulletin posted for reference. Those early end caps can both leak oil out of, and suck air into the end pumping chamber.

When these bikes were shipped, the actual lubrication system did not have two stroke oils in them from tank to crank case banjo fitting, they had a very light viscosity "pickling fluid" preservative oil in them, and dealers were supposed to do the bleeding operations on initial pre-sale bike setup. This was because the factory had no idea as to how long a bike would stay sitting....unsold. Some few large sales volume dealers got a bit sneaky, they used a slave battery, and performed new bike set up and run in, then, set the bike on the sales floor, only to have to gas it, and service the new, still in the protective pouch battery, and launch the thing out the door.

Transmissions had the same stuff in them as well, drain, replace with gear oil, all part of the during sale setup and service.

EDIT: I neglected to add that the light oil pickling fluid was a fish derived oil, not dino, and was never intended to do anything but prevent rust, other contamination from reaching the parts inside the systems it was in. It wasn't a lubricating "oil".
