So I'm now into the rebuild of my H2 seriously.

The previous owner has supplied a nice shiny new wiring harness (although it may be a H2B or C harness...), which is a good thing don't get me wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure out exactly where it should be routed and what connects to where.
For instance, there's three Black/Yellow wires towards the front of the harness that could connect to the earth-side of the coils - is this correct?

Are there a collection of pics detailing this anywhere on the forum, or does someone have their H2 'naked' and could take a few pics to give me bit of an idea of the routing of the harness and the locations of the regulator/rectifier/flasher can etc.?

And...
Judging from the fiche drawings, I'm missing the positive and negative battery cables to connect back into the harness and frame.
Does anyone have a set of battery cables and a rectifier bracket (I'm missing one of them too) they may want to sell?

Any info greatly appreciated :?
Ta, Paul

Post a picture of your harness. Not sure why a 74/75 harness is a good thing on a 72/73 H2? Very different.

Yep, I've checked through MrAxl's very comprehensive site, but there aren't any really good pictorial guides.

The French site that details a restoration is pretty good, but it doesn't go into the detail I need - I'm dealing with a situation where I have nothing to go on or copy from, all my other bikes are Suzukis!

I'll post up a pic of my harness to confirm it will work with my bike.

I'm a sucker for a sob story ;)
.
The connecting plugs are just in front of the coils, the loom then goes behind the downtube and out of the headstock, and yes, one earth lead to each coil mount . .

The earth is a solo lead - make one up, literally battery negative loop to frame bolt. The main lead is a twin lead, from the battery, a Red and a White lead, the white lead is fused and then goes to the main white lead with a bullet on the loom, the red lead wanders off to connect to the red lead from the reg/rect unit!

I may be wrong but the only H2 repo harness I know of is for H2/A and it is way different than that for H2B/C.

Cool, thanks Dale that's what I need to know!

And thanks R.B. for the pic and the confirmation about the black yellow wires and others  .

I now also know where the regulator and rectifier go and will be slinging them in there shortly.

Sorry about my Suzuki 'obsession' though...
