Any suggestions on a battery to use on a 72 H2 restore. Gel? Acid? Lithium? I want it to look original as possible but concerned about acid leakage.

Thanks

Hi Rodney,
So you could get a acid battery and it will be 100% stock and correct. But these bikes like to overcharge and boil the acid out the vent tube.
How many original left pipes have you seen on H2's or H1's that don't have acid stains. Plus add the fact that they like to corrode the battery post
too. I'm not a big fan of acid batteries. If you really are hell bent on a original looking battery, take one apart and put in a gel battery inside it.

Would be nice if I could find a non acid battery in a white case. Lithium will have to do.

Hey Ron I'm making a run to the plating shop with some parts in the next week or so if you have some items you need done. I could meet you on an off ramp to pick them up. I have the other parts of yours all clean and shinny. I sent them with my last batch.

Rodney
