If I remember correctly, they are the same except for the knurled part.If you use the later H2 bars on an early h2, the knurled part will stick out past the handlebar holders.Won't matter unless you are being really original.

yes and no, the form is the same but there were lead weight at the end on the early and I speak about high bar only.

Buddy has it, I too believe they are identical in shape and lead weighted ends, but the "knurls" are in a slightly different location due to the fact that the early H2 handlebar clamps have a slightly different spacing than the later clamps.

You are both indeed correct, all the high bars have weight, but it is steel bar and not lead

 : It gets worse! There is a VIN range where the steel rods were held in by One spot weld before they realised that they could come loose and so welded them in with TWO spot welds - ALL steel bars were inserted after the bars had been chromed :? . . Sad fact, but TRUE!

Rick, think you'll ever get around to the final book on triples?
Still frustrated about all the photos and tech info shared by the group from your old site that was lost.
Clearly a labor of love but something that would stand the test of time.
BTW, met a woman just yesterday from Nottingham; was trying to sell her a kitchen but she didn't have the $$ to do it right.
