Lots of people buy a V8 kit from the auto parts store and get 2 sets out of it, just be sure to get solid core wires and non resistor caps. (for stock ignitions) I like the original look and buy the set from HVC Cycle. http://www.hvccycle.net/ignition-coil-wire-kits/ |

If you can't find automotive solid core wires, buy a set for a tractor. |

Parts Unlimited sells the wire on a roll, it is the tractor type stuff. |

Liruss On my H2B..........you can dig the "hump" off of the coil's with a hack saw blade and pry it off, it is a peice of rubber that is epoxied........then there is a "post" to re-solder the new wire to........I used 7mm fine stranded auto type wire, 4 feet (as electrons travel on the surface of wire, not thru it.........stranded flows more current)........I then got the very nice NGK non-resistor 90 degree caps.........put the rubber hump back on the coil and re-epoxy...........get some red model paint and re-paint the coils..........took maybe 3 hours tops.......bet very nice and no splicing (I think this is only on H2's, not sure though) I also run a zeeltronic iggy.........it has a strong blue spark.........I had to use iridium resistor plugs in that setup.......you won't THX Phil ![]() |
