So I have most of the chrome and buffing done for my H1A restoration and am ready to buy spoke so I can make it a roller. Where is a good place to get them and what should I expect to pay?? Also what kind of nipples should I get...the frame is powder coated and all the chrome & stainless look better than new so I dont want something that will take away from the look of the bike.....It will be a runner that I will take to meets and shows but not much of a rider so I want it to look good.....thanks |

I did a set of bucannon spokes. They offer many different finishes for you. I think you would want the polished stainless spokes. I am happy with their customer service and product. Price is about 115 per wheel for standard stainless. They have a good price breakdown on their website for polish and assembly service. Check it out. ![]() |

I like to plate the original spokes and nipples. I figure for the price of a set of store bought spokes you can almost buy a Caswell plating kit and do your own. After the second set of spokes it has paid for itself and you can plate lots of other things too. I have used Buchannon and they are excellent. |

You most likely will have to polish the stamped "B" off the hub end of the spokes, not the end of the world just an extra step if you want your finished product closer to a concourse project in the end. Other than that Buchanan is a solid choice for spokes and nipples. |

The difference vs replating the originals is that the buchanon spokes are thicker than the originals and that makes them stronger and they look cool too. |
