Haven't been around in a while and I'm getting back to repairing my original motor. Ya'll have been a real help in the past.

Pulled my lower case this evening and was going to repair what I thought was a tweeked return spring. Turned out to be a broken shaft. Everything looks great and no case damage. My question is are all of the H2 kick starter shafts the same. I see them being sold in some places as 72-75 but the parts manual shows 2 different numbers. 73 being 13066-028 and 74-75 being something else. Can anyone confirm one way or the other? If anyone has one to sell, that would be a plus as well. :) Again thank for all the help.

They are all the same (fitment wise) , they did have a tendancy to shear at the cir clip fitting, although some of the later N.O.S. ones were white around the middle, maybe they changed the hardening procedure? - before the days of the Internet they would sell for $400+ (In England) - You should find One now for $30 - $50 ish ?
