A little more progress from today.

Fourth time was the charm! The wrinkle paint didn't like my primer/base coat.
I had to strip it down to bare metal to get it to work right.

I need to order some more parts............

I guess the question is will the slotted rods he had put in work with the old style system :?: the picture on page one is before it got rebuilt. Just curious as I was always told not to.

It doesn't matter which oiling system you use.

By all means, if there's some problem here, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
We used to slot, unslotted rods back in the day to get a little better oiling.
Is there an issue here I haven't heard about????

I thought the plastic headlight buckets ended somewhere just under SN 3,000?

No, mine is metal. H2 04402.
Got my 'Official' Vermont registration in the mail today too.
I'll hit the local FL DMV tomorrow and see what pans out.
Got a little more done today, Caliper done. Same kit as a Suzuki GT750.
Headlight hardware cleaned, polished.
I'll post up some more pix tomorrow.

The slotted rods are fine, and preferred. The oil goes from the pump, to the bearing, through the receiver, into the pin and then out to the big end bearing. You are good-to-go!

FL DMV was a piece of cake.
Vermont Registration and a FL VIN verification form.
They weren't interested in anything else.
In and out in under five minutes and $184.
Personalized plate number 12.........
Title should be here in the next two weeks.
