Can anyone identify these pistons? I was told they are Wisco, 1st oversize. Thanks! |

I'm not sure it's a Wiseco but it looks like it probably is. Oversizes are 0.5mm each, so 1.00mm is 2nd oversize. |

So did I, I didn't realise how bad they were until I got on the Interwebz...!!  I had a set in when we started modifying the engine after its first life. No piston related issues at all, unless you count running onto reserve at 120MPH!

I got the cases split today. The good news is that I didn't find anything else destroyed but this is surely one tired and worn little engine. The crank will be shipped off to Charlie Smith this week for rebuild. The transmission needs a lot of work. Worn gears, dogs and shift forks besides the failed bearing. The transmission work is beyond my current skill set so if anyone has suggestions for a repair vendor I'd appreciate it. |

Transmission work- Mark Doucette at R&D Motorsports in Clearwater, FL. He is one of the best and will need your cases too. You should consider a street undercut of the gears and his shim work which he does as it will shift almost like a new model bike. He did mine back in 2006 and the trans has never missed a beat. |

Not a bad thing, but if you send it there be ready to supply many NOS or nearly NOS parts as he requests them. |
