Glad you liked the S1C, that was completely standard but this will be a bit more bling but as standard as I can get it.
Phase 1, I want to get the paintwork and seat back and get it started, fit newly coated R/H caliper and bleed brakes and ride the thing for a bit.
Phase 2, I will replate the ignition boxes in yellow cad then get them "Lakelanded", have my spare standard shocks re-chromed,
also re-chrome torque rod, brake rod and replace all the nuts/screws and washers on the rebuilt engine (They were old and not replaced :( ) Finally take all covers for a complete decent polishing.
I thank you for the bleeding advice (sic), I didn't even think about bleeding it that way round. I will try as you suggested as I have never been totally successful in bleeding these things let alone a dual system!
I have no tank etc on it yet shall I just disconnect hose to MC and pump some fluid through it before connecting the hose up again? Is that what you mean TIA

Great restoration, more pictures. My RD was a bear to bleed also. I did not ruin any paint with the brake fluid because I used silicone brake fluid. In the older Corvettes, lots of enthusiasts use that. Any one use that on their bike besides me.

Yeah, I'd leave the MC on the bike then. Disconnect the upper line from the splitter and stick it in a jar of clean fluid. Fill MC and bleed it until bubbles stop appearing in the Jar.

Connect hose.. and have fun with the calipers!

I still use oldschool brake fluid, so have to be more careful.

Just an fyi do not mix silicone and regular brake fluid as I have repaired many pieces of equipment due to some customer getting them mixed up and it turns to jelly. Sorta same as mixing dexcool and regular coolant it's a no no.

Trent, you must be from the U.K. What's the obsession there in restoring bikes. No expense spared, nicer than they ever came from the factory. Scouring the world for that rare NOS part. Having 3 times into the bike than what it's worth. I am amazed it the dedication you put in to them. Then it rains all the time. Seems like that when I watch Top Gear and Wheeler Dealer.

Good to see people are using the DOT 5 silicon. Definitely no mixing. Everything taken apart or new.
