I ordered an air filter from a reputable vender, doesn't seem to fit well in the box, I may could trim it up and make it fit, is this typical?

I called the vendor, they said it takes a little prying to get it in, well after a lot of manipulation and prying, I was able to get it fitted, one thing for sure, it has a good seal.

While waiting on my paint, I was able to get the seat repaired. Thank you to the fellow member that hooked me up with a useable original seat pan, welded up a couple stress cracks but the clips were in good shape. I'm not an upholstery guy but it turned out good.

Update, after 2+ months of my tins at the paint shop, I decided to pick my stuff up and carry it to another painter. I guess it's like loaning money to family, take your parts to your painter friend and you never know when you're getting it back. He promised to have it ready by Friday, hell, I had it ready to paint when I delivered it, my other painter is hungry. Well, in the meantime, I wanted to add a couple bicycles as displays in my shop, I have one finished and another tore down. I think the Schwinn is a repop but the Free Spirit MX is from 1976, just reliving some childhood memories, my wife always rolls her eyes at the junk I drag up, but when I finish, she's always impressed, after 40 years, she's still letting me bring junk home. :D

Finally have my tins back from paint, turned out nice, time for the decals, last decal I put on was on a rounded tank, almost gave up on them, these should be easier. It's not a candy paint, but I think it will look sweet. :D

I ordered a filter that looks similar to yours.

It was too big to fit, I wrote to the vendor and told them that but never heard back.

I cleaned and oiled the old filter instead.

That filter is not a drop in fit, mine was a PIA. I had to stick a few pieces on just to see how Orange it was, It's definitely ORANGE. :D
