Not sure, Google isn't showing me anything definitive. Is it possible it's a 73?

I'm thinking 73. I believe 72 was the first reed valve year, and the paint was just plain, then 73 they added stripes.

MX's were yellow, with a rubber strap over the tank to hold it on. That's probably just the enduro.

It is '73 DT250, the headstock tag will confirm the exact manufacture date, I picked a lovely One up from the side of the road last year for $800 so don't be throwing a lot of time, money and effort into it :eh:

I'd go for it - they're a blast to ride, lots of parts - and that buddy seat - with someone on it will give you a real thrill! (I know  )

I think I have a few parts of one still around here. I think I have wheels, front forks, and some other bits if you plan to tackle it and need a part or two.

I see that one has that horrible kickstand as well.
