 Post subject: rear blinker question

I've looked at the available parts fiches and diagrams and I can't cipher the order in which the rear blinker parts go, the images are too crappy. How do they go?

I look at that article a lot, it's very informative. I still cant tell what order the grommet, earth plate, and big square grommet go. Does it go(from outside to inside), blinker stem, earth plate with grommet inside, and then the big square grommet? Sorry of I sound stupid, my head isn't quite right these days.

This is not mine, so I cannot verify either way, but maybe it would be of some help to you...?

I seem to recall that on my 72 S2, which does not have that spring that the H2 has, I may have positioned the earth plate over the square rubber grommet, which then goes just behind the main signal bracket.

Yes, thank you, that helps although I didn't see any springs on either of my H2s. :?

Who knows, springs may have been added on by someone...? This image makes it seem the earth plates go on the outside of the signal mounts, but we know it goes on the inside... :roll:

I'm glad I didn't find that illustration, I would have had my earth plates pretty squished by the time it was over. ;)

you have the spring on H2A :mrgreen: don't know if the spring was fit on 72 H2 8-)
