After seeing the results that Cody has had I decided to try the Spray-max 2K clear myself.
I first sanded all the parts with 1500 wet/dry sand paper before applying the decals. Let
them set for a week and today washed all the parts with joy soap and water solution.
Then rinsed them real good with lots of water, let dry, gave a blast with the air hose and
then tac ragged. Put the first coat on very light and dry, 10min wait and did it again. Put
on 3 normal coats 10min apart and fantastic results.

I'm a long time body man and have painted since the 70's and trust me, this stuff is impressive.
Cost me just under $60 for 2 cans shipped and only used one.

That looks very very nice. I used a rattle can clear on my bike just tidying it up and although it came up nice it took forever to dry, the dang seat still sticks to the tank a year on! I wouldnt use it again. K2 might be totaly different, im just sharing my experience.
What model bike is that youve painted? its got the D tail stripe, E tank graphic.

As far I have seen in the US, there is no rattle can that is fuel proof, other than the K2.

The 2K clear smells just like the any other clear that has been activated. Was dry
to the touch in a couple of hours and I was able to get the tank and tail on tonight.
It flowed out so nice it doesn't even need to be color sanded and buffed. It takes a
lot to impress me at my age but I'm sold on this stuff. Easy to use, cheap, and looks
great. If you price out a quart of automotive clear with the reducer and
harder your looking at at least $100. As for this H1, It's a 74 with MiniCooper green
metallic, tank stripe is for a 75 KH400 and I used 1/4 pin stripe tape on the tail.
Not stock or correct but it's a great color and that's what Mike that own's the bike wanted.

It's a great running bike and starts first kick when cold, idles and will run to redline without
any flat spots. Ivan makes a great jet kit that's for sure. Running 110 mains 32.5 pilots
(tried 35's first) and Ivan's needle on the third clip. Not use to these chambers but they
do sound nice.
