 Post subject: My money pit

Figured I would do a post on my H2. First photo is how I recieved bike unseen off CL.
Let just say the seller was not to honest. Lots of little stuff just wrong. Funny thing tires dated 1988 and both on wrong. I guess the arrow is not self explained

I yanked the motor out there was no third gear. Went ahead and sent the motor to Larry Smith Redlinemotorsports for complete rebuild

Larry had the motor done in less then a week. New everything New genuine kaw pistons 1mm over, tranny rebuild. Crank seal tested good . Motor ready

Although original baody set is good i collected a complete new set of tin's that will be sent off to Brian H

Greg, I don't think that's quite what I said (or meant to say). In the worst case, the wait got up to 6 or 7, but it's getting shorter now, and I expect I could have a set for you in around 3 or 4, worst case.

I'd have made absolutely sure that the tabbed shims for 3rd gear, as per the "factory directed modification" service bulletin, were used on the 3rd gear, and on the rest of the trans.

Service bulletins and FDM's are all on mraxl's resources pages. A wealth of info is available there, and, as you have already found, on here, and Brad's site as well.
