China's finest LED headlight arrived unscathed today via USPS for the Girly Bike. Hopefully it will work as advertised and be immune to the vibration and shocks that have been killing the conventional H4 halogens I have been going through.

I'll be very interested in your report. I recently bought a 3-emitter 20/30 watt LED H4 bulb for my Guzzi. Here's a thread on the subject, with photos from the original poster and from me:

I love the low current draw and daytime visibility. The low pattern does not cut off the top of the beam though, and most likely would irritate other drivers at night unless you aim the headlight down quite a bit. Then the high beam won't be very good. I don't ride at night, so it doesn't matter to me much.

I dont ride much at night either. I paid $42 for this one shipped. Ebay-China, took a couple weeks to get here. The cooling apparatus is a bit large, so I may have to do some rerouting in the bucket. But also the 3 prong plug will no longer be in the way due to the adapter so it may just slip right in...We will see...http://m.ebay.com/itm/111332317845?txnId=1225069300001

+1 for interest here
Curious as to overall light output and would not have thought about potential aperture problems as mentioned by Jim

As far as I know, there are no replacement H4 LED bulbs for reflectors intended for quartz-halogen bulbs that are DOT approved. The LED emitters are much larger than the QH filaments, and don't have the little reflector in the bulb to direct light the way it needs to go for low beam. I believe the only DOT approved LED headlights are the ones like Truck-Lite sealed beam assemblies.

But the low current draw and fine-for-daytime pattern is fine with me until the Truck-Lite headlights get a lot cheaper.

Lit up beautifully. that's the good news.
The bad news is : It wont fit in the RD headlight bucket as it is nearly 3/4 of an inch deeper ( longer) . So at some point I will put an H2 7 inch H-4 conversion headlight on it and try again. I changed the RH switch gear on the RD and cleaned up some wiring issues. Maybe this bulb will last past the 1st wheelie...

I'm not surprised it wouldn't fit, Tim. Mine barely fit in a big Bosch BMW shell.

I don't think that will be possible for Tim.
