I sealed both exhaust flanges with rubber stoppers and made metal straps that fit over the exhaust studs to hold the stoppers in. I installed PVC fittings into each intake manifold, one bushed down and installed a 1/8" fuel pressure gauge, and the other bushed down and installed an air tank filler valve. I use a hand bicycle pump to put 6 psig into the engine. There is enough leakage around the pistons and lab seal that both cylinders on top of the pistons as well the crank case on both sides of the lab seal are pressurized. This checks the engine completely for leaks-top, bottom, crank seals, and case joints. The pressure dropped 1/2 psi in 40 minutes and I could see very tiny air bubbles around one of the exhaust stoppers so I think the 1/2 lb drop was mostly from that small leak. I can't see the crank seals being an issue unless they are leaking under vacuum. Even if the seals are leaking some the engine should not be running this bad. The seals should be here Thursday. If the seals don't fix it I'll check the compression. I should of all ready done that but my son has the compression gauge. If the compression is good I'm going to bypass the wiring harness wires that supply 12vdc to the coils, the wires that the points control and the engine/frame ground. If that don't fix it I'm hauling it to Deals Gap in two weeks and taking bids on it :D

Fork seals on my used set of forks that were not leaking are seeping enough to aggravate me. So this mornings before work project is to change them. Like Daddy used to say "If you don't have time to do it right, you will have time to do it over". :D :D

Fork seals done. 2.5 hrs start to finish :D :D . 50 pumps no leaks, 6ozs of oil per leg. Have to pull neutral switch back off to replace o-ring, my used oring swap didn't work, still seeped. I hate leaks :banghead :banghead . Scrounged through my tractor parts and found a matching Deutz German tractor metric hyd. o-ring, will change tomorrow. Adjust chain, reinstall pipes and hopefully be done on the RD other than a good detail and ready to start on the Phoenix.

What kind of mount do you use for the Go Pro? I've been thinking of getting a camera for a while. Looking forward to watching yours. Skyline Drive maybe?
