this one will def be at the gap this year IF i can actually get a place to stay.

after having fun with Dave's (rip) a few years ago, when this came up had to snag it. 90cc twin. its ridiculous. 1500 ish original miles.

noted. i still have to do paint eventually but test rode last night with all the new suspension servicing and such. its pretty good. should be at the gap this year. boy is it slow but fun. :D you're welcome to take it for a spin

I've got a few of those small Yamaha twins, two 200's, a 180, an original "Twin Jet 100", and one like this one, HT90. I also have a couple of road racers, TA125's, too. All are really fun to ride. The crankshafts are a bit of a challenge in both rebuilding and getting back into the cases right, but, once you have the right way to do it figured out, piece of cake.

luckily this bike lived inside its whole life and the bottom end seems perfect so far (had topend and both sides apart).. hopefully wont be doing a crank anytime soon. however, im hopefully going to get the chambers done in a month or so. :mrgreen:

The issue with the cases is, they split vertically, and have an insert filler in the middle of the case for the two center bearings and seal. It can be a real pain putting the whole thing together, because the center section has to seal correctly for both sides crank chambers, the center bearing and the case main seal. All that is done with a complicated O ring setup on that center.

If you see a picture, or parts diagram for the cases/crank, it will become evident how much fun that can be, real quick.

Get one parameter off just a hair, expect problems with the sealing, fit, name it. At one time, I used to do just about every crank for TA's for all the 125 racers in the AFM.

Still, when done right, those bikes are so much fun to ride, really nice stuff.

yup, thanks. I have experience doing a ds6 crank so i understand completely. they are... fussy :lol:
