I brought this home from Leroy's today so I could fix a bit a damage that happened when his just restored #56 Sandcast came loose in the trailer and fell over on the little YC1. Luckily the Sandcast only suffer a tiny nick in the gas tank and a scuffed grip. The YC1 has a damaged front fender and a foot peg was broken off. It was restored a while back by a place in Arizona and although it's very nice it's also very over-restored. I had never seen one before, it's a beautiful machine.

Nice bike, and I agree, way over restored. They weren't as "glossed up" as that paint is, and the polishing of things sure wasn't as nice as all that.

They were very primitive back then, but still as much fun as a person could have for a long ride.

GUTS- was that the bike that was at the VJMC at Barber last weekend? Seems like it was parked by a sandcast CB750 in the show area there.

Yes it was. Leroy was on the way back when the Sandcast tipped over on it. It's hard to imagine that these two colors would look good together.

They were both stunning in person. That is the oldest Yamaha I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. You do very impressive work with great attention to detail.

Old Peugeot 125cc 175cc of the 50s is also very close for the engine, every body copied the DKW 125cc after WWII.
