Picked this up last night to add to the existing 1979 we have. My wife is learning (took her last Saturday for her first ever solo ride). She had a blast but being a beginner my CR500 was not a good ride-along bike. I thought of using the DT400 but hummm.....

I just happened to see this 1979 on Craigs List - what are the chances here on CO Springs?
Runs perfect, new clutch, sounds fine - no mechanical issues but it's a little rough outside. Will make a nice winter project but for the remainder of the riding season here we'll do some his and her riding.

PS - this is my 4th 1979 IT175 and I have a lot of parts!

This is true. Where I grew up the hills were so steep and long, when your ball rolled down the hill you just said "screw it"...
