Thanks to all. If the forecast is true for tomorrow it will be too wet to haul hay and it will be Fathers Day and I am off work. That being said it is my intent to spend the day in the shop unless somebody changes my mind for me.

I just remembered a bit more on wiring paths. some bikes use a steel "wiring guide" added to the undersides of rear fenders, to 'stop chafing the wires". These guides have the wiring looms for tail lights and other items passed through them. I have seen things like rocks, other road debris be thrown up off tires, directly into the wiring looms at the end of the guide, literally breaking wires, cutting them, and allowing them to ground.

Also, the usual, pinched, vibrated against metal, many different areas that just one wire could have either a full, or intermittent ground path to blow the fuses. Could also be an intermittent ground in a component like rectifier, regulator, switch.

I've even seen on one end of the fuse holder, the wire cut when it was factory crimped, and the insulation holding the wire in place, with the stands broken over the years, LOOKS great, no cigar.

Not much fun, loads of places that problems occur electrically.

Found a light blue wire bare. Upper left of picture. The good Dr. Haase informed me it is a ground for the neutral light so therefore not a possible culprit. My good friend Frank Bryan is coming over at 0900 to help me trouble shoot further....
