 Post subject: WTB Orange 1974 RD400

A friend of mine is looking for a 1974 RD400 in orange like the one he had when he was a youngster. He want's one that is restored or still in excellent shape. He is the kind of guy that will pay what the bike is worth, he doesn't think he's in the blue light special section at Wallmart. ;)

Not to be picky, but the orange ones were 75s, the 74s were purple.

400 also began in 1976. 73 -75 and prior back to 67 were 350s.

DOH! :x I totally missed the "400", the only thing that registered is "orange RD"... :oops:
I think it's a sign that I need an orange 1975 RD350B! :thumbup:

I guess it shows that I'm not a Yamaha guy(never liked em). He must have had an orange 76. Thanks for the Yamaha lesson. ;)

Don't think they made a 76 RD400 in Orange. Bet he had a a Chappy Red one which has some orange overtones to the hue.

yeah, 400's were never orange from the factory, blue, red, silver, green (white 79 daytonas) (and yellow and white in non us markets)
